The WINGS beta launch, code named Sparrow, approaches and there’s lots of change afoot. Some of the new developments are already visible on the WINGS alpha platform which we have highlighted below. We are highly interested in user feedback regarding the alpha platform and ways that you think we can improve it.
Scroll to the bottom of this blog for more information about the upcoming WINGS testing where we will be collecting data for tweaking the math model designed by Sergeui Popov, PhD that is being implemented by Stas Oskin and Artem Gorbachev, Phd.
Development change log
Here is a complete log of the changes that were made over the course of the last weeks, followed by a more detailed overview:
- Statistic chart for the forecasting mechanism. Beta version.
- Downloading the private key from your account.
- It is now possible to send funds from the project page, not from the personal cabinet. One step less!
- When a user create an account they can subscribe to the WINGS newsletter.
- Search for tokens that you hold or want to support.
- Now in your profile you will only see tokens that you hold.
- Code refactoring with ECMAScript 6 support.
- Algorithmically generated user avatars based on public keys.
- Fixed slider on index page.
- Other small alpha fixes.
Forecasting statistics chart
Although still in development, this visual tool provides an easy-to-follow visualization of the project’s odds to succeed during the crowdfunding campaign.
Downloading private keys
Since security is one our main concerns, you can now see and download your private keys, so that even if you lose access to your account and password, you can still recover your tokens.
Sending funds from the project page
Now, you can easily send funds to the project you want to back directly from the project page. We’re thinking “One Click”
Furthermore, we have also organized your personal wallet, so that you can easily search for tokens you hold or want to support.
Algorithmically generated user avatars
Now, an algorithm will now generate the account’s avatar based on its public key!
Code refactoring with ECMAScript 6 support.
WINGS alpha forecasting math model testing
Last week we announced that we will be testing the forecasting rewards math model by using real world data! We’ll be giving away up to $2500 worth of WINGS based on forecasting accuracy as well as $25 for users who are familiar with crypto but not familiar with WINGS. How will that work you ask?
As we all know there has been a massive explosion of crypto-token based crowdfunding lately whether it’s a pre-seed, pre-ICO, ICO, pre-sale, ITO, seed funder, or backing campaign so there is no shortage of possible funding events and therefor valuations to forecast on. Of course, the rewards certainly won’t be as high stakes as the real deal but will be enough to make adjustment to our math model. Can an internet-enabled swarm of people accurately predict outcomes of ICOs? Time will tell.
All WINGS donors will receive an email when testing is about to commence.
If you have a friend who has not tried out the alpha version of WINGS and is not a donor, please refer them to the forecaster job on Upwork, they will have some extra tasks like completing a first time user survey and possibly short interviews about their initial experience.
