It’s been almost a week since I’ve been at the gym and today hurt. Even though I walked miles in heels for four days at the conference, getting back to the gym was painful. I’ve been working out at The Jungle in Schuylkill Haven for three and a half years now, and while I like the results I see and I like the people at the gym — I still have to push myself to get dressed and get going in the morning. And if I don’t do it first thing in the morning, I won’t do it at all. “I’ll do it after my appointments” just doesn’t work for me.
It’s like the time management philosophy of “Eat that Frog.” Every day you should do your worst task first — the one you hate and dread. Call that seller whose house is just not getting any showings or any offers, even if you really don’t want to have the conversation. Call the client who is angry at you for some reason, even when you dread picking up the phone.
What about your goals and dreams? Do you have something you’d really love to do, but just cannot find the time or energy to do it? Shia LaBeouf has the answer.
What’s your frog? Just do it.
