A therapist once told me, “Never do something for someone that they can do for themselves.” This was one of the most powerful pieces of advice I ever received. Turn off the cash. He will figure it out. He has the means to afford it, he just refuses to face reality, and expects you to subsidize his fantasy of paying for a divorce while maintaining his current standard of living. That’s not fair to you, and is downright disrespectful.
