Bridgewater Ambition

I quit my job yesterday. Why? It is a long story. But, just know, that it seemed like a good idea at the time. In reality, it might end up being the greatest thing I have ever done for myself. However, as the coming days, weeks, and months unfold, we will see.

A few months prior to leaving my job I entered the world of online marketing. I actually found it somewhat by accident. I was doing a lot of work off the clock at home at the time. I was working on spreadsheets from the time I got home until I went to sleep. Around that time I started to create a personal budget that revealed that even if I managed the money I had coming in better, there was no way to really do some of the things I wanted.

Seeing as how I was putting in all of those hours off the clock for a job I really didn’t care for, I knew that there must be a way for me to apply the same effort into a business of my own.

Searching for how to make money online is a joke. It is unbelievable the cesspit your descend into when you search a term like this. These are really today’s used car salesmen. Even worse, if you do not subtlety click the back button and leave, you will be locked in a death spiral of ads and email sequences. I was fortunate to navigate the minefield safely.

Somewhere in the mix of training funnels, blogs, and YouTube videos I landed on a Dan Lok video where he mentioned something about affiliate marketing. After determining that there was legitimate money to be made in affiliate marketing I paid someone $300 to go through their course on getting started.

The course that I went through was somewhat dated, but I learned so much. Having paid money for the course, I took it seriously and applied what I was learning. The conditions for being in the course was that I had to purchase Clickfunnels and be willing to spend $5 a day on Facebook ads.

I got started promoting Clickbank products on Facebook. At a certain point I heard about the Clickfunnels One Funnel Away Challenge and pulled all of my ads down and decided to go through the challenge before doing anything else.

I am just about to start my third week of the One Funnel Away Challenge. It has been amazing! I cannot recommend this training enough. And, the best thing is that it is only $100! They walk you through learning the foundation of sales in general, and then you learn about building funnels. They walk you by hand through building a funnel. It is great!

So, I am going through this training and found the straw to break the camel’s back at work. To make a long story short, I was in a supervisor position and had my authority undermined by upper management because they refused to discipline an employee. Just like the rest of our society, there is an aversion to consequences of any kind where I worked. Everybody is trying to avoid conflict and that is why this company is managed so poorly. Either way, I wasn’t having any of it. I take anything I do seriously and was not going to stick around having no support to manage effectively. So I left.

Now I have no income with a ton of training under my belt for my new path as an entrepreneur.
