*From Zero to One by Peter Thiel.
If you are on your way to creating a startup company or getting started or just considering to start, this is one of the books that you might consider reading. It’s an interesting book and points out very crucial points to be considered if you want to create a great company. Emphasizing that most startups and founders think that they are somehow more special than other businesses that have existed before them, wrong because you are not special and so is your business, if you ignore the facts a business, you won’t last for long. But you know, Our business has a superior or better product and so customers will come, that’s not true either.
People, Product, and Distribution are all equally important, for any business that values products more than distribution is doomed to fail. The famous idea that if you build it, they will come is wrong. Sales is as important as the product it’s self and so are the team responsible for creating the product. Furthermore pointing out the questions that every startup founder must ask themselves first before jumping ship and that includes Engineering, People, Distribution, Durability & Monopoly Questions.
“Start small and monopolize”
In conclusion, this is a great book and if you have time you ought to read it, it has so much valuable notes on startups and why things go wrong in businesses. I would totally recommend this book to anyone who wants to create a great business & monopoly.
