My friend Martin (Marty) Smith explains the power of “Nowism” for SMB marketing, especially when it comes to competing for sales against juggernauts like Amazon that can always beat you via algorithmic scale, unless you turn your trump cards of immediacy, personalization and engagement.
What Marty describes is much like what Google calls “micro moments.” Micro moments are the many small steps, touches, and engagements that can happen between a prospect becoming aware of your brand or offering and her decision to buy. The trick is having content and experiences that are available to engage that prospect at any given micro moment.
Marty ties this into a marketing mindset that is best expressed by the Nowist movement. To find out how that works, I urge you to read his post linked here.
