What is Zcash (ZEC)?

Zcash (ZEC) is a new type of decentralized and open-source cryptocurrency. Its technology innovation has gained increasing market attention since the launch in October 2016. Based on Bitcoin 0.11.2 code version, Zcash can fully protect the privacy of transactions using zero-knowledge cryptography. Zcash payments are published on a public blockchain, but the sender, recipient, and amount of a transaction remain private. ZEC has a total volume of 21 million like Bitcoin. But unlike Bitcoin, Zcash encrypts the contents of shielded transactions and only private key holders can see the contents of a transaction. Till now, about 1.5 million ZEC have been mined with a total market cap of about 570 million dollars. The market performance of ZEC is promising.
